My PS3 system does not recognize the new hard drive.My PS3 system does not recognize the new hard drive. I get a prompt on the screen to install the latest update when I switched the system on. You can select the option to install update via removable disk. The system will run the update and let you format the drive accordingly. Make sure you have the update files saved on the USB flash disk when select this option.
