FAQ'S

I have iTunes on my Mac system. How do I add songs to this player ?

1.)   First off all Hip Street players will only take MP3 formatted songs. If your song is aiff, wma, or ac encoded it will not play on your player.

2.)   You must convert all your songs into an MP3 format.
3.)   If all your songs are already in iTunes you can easily convert them by following these simple steps.

A.) First go to your iTunes toolbar at the top of your screen and click on it. Go down to the preferences. A new box will open. Once in preferences make sure you are in the General settings tab. You will notice near the bottom of the General settings box there is a button called “import settings”. Click on it. A new box will appear called import settings. You will see a scroll down tab at the top of the screen it will have these options:  AAC Encoder, Aiff Encoder, Apple Lossless Encoder, MP3 Encoder, and Wav Encoder. You want to choose MP3 Encoder and then click ok.

B.)  Now select the song you would like to convert, by just clicking on it once. Once the song is selected, go up to advanced at the top of your iTunes toolbar. And go down to “Create MP3 Version”

C.)  The song will then create the MP3 formatted version for your player. It usually is created below the song you have selected.

NOTE: You will not lose your original “unformatted” file.

D.) Now plug your player into your Mac and drag and drop all your MP3 formatted songs onto the drive that comes up. It is probably called “No Name” until you change the name on it. Once the songs have been uploaded onto your drive you may then eject it. The player is now ready to be used.
