Audio CD uses a different format and can only be play on a CD Player. You need to convert the songs to MP3 format first and then transfer to the MP3 Player. This process is also known as CD Ripping or Audio Ripping. There are a number of free programs you can download from the Internet to perform this task.

Master Standby ON/OFF
This switch usually labeled ON and OFF and is located on the side. This is not the Power ON/OFF button. It is only a master standby power switch. You will need to turn the player on manually.
Power ON/OFF or Play/Pause Button
This button usually shared with the Play/Pause button. You will need to press and hold it for a few seconds to turn the player ON/OFF.
Some player will power ON automatically once you inserted the earphone and vice versa.
Volume UP/Down or FF/RW Button
These buttons usually shared with the forward FF/ rewind RW buttons. You will need to press and hold them down to increase/decrease the volume. FF button usually is the volume increase button and vice versa.
Some player will have a VOL button and you need to press that first, and then the +/- buttons to increase/decrease the volume. If the + and – buttons are not present, you need to press the FF/RW buttons instead.
M or Menu
This button usually function as an ENTER key. Press this button once to accept the selection you chose from a list of items. You can always press and hold it to bring you back to the previous screen (more like an ESC key).
Lock or Hold switch
This switch or button will initiate the player on HOLD or LOCKED stage. If the player is on HOLD/LOCKED, you cannot press any buttons or copy data on it. This feature is useful when you do not want to accidently press any buttons while you’re listen/watching a media. It also prevents accidental deletion of data.
MODE
On most MP3 players, this button is located on top and is use to navigate along different items. Once you have selected an item, you need to press this button down to accept it. If you need to return to the main menu screen, you can press and hold it down for a few seconds. - How many songs can I put on my 1GB MP3/MP4 Player?
The number depends on the size of each song.
For example let’s assume that you have music files, which are of size 5MB each.
Then for a 1GB player (1GB is equal to1000MB) you will store X number of songs. Where X is 1000 divided by 5, which is approximately 200.
Note that this calculation can also be applied to other files e.g. video or image files. - Where is the battery on my device? How do I replace / recharge it?
If your device does not have a battery access compartment then it is likely that your device has a rechargeable battery.
A device that has a rechargeable battery can be charged via USB port on a computer.
You can simply connect your device to a computer and leave it plugged in for approximately 2 hours to charge. NOTE: The device needs to be switched ON as well as your computer, for the battery to charge. - Error “directory or file cannot be created” while transferring files to my MP3/MP4 player.
This error can occur when your device is set on HOLD or LOCK mode. Both of these features will enable write-protect, and this will not allow you to modify the content. Please verify you have the feature turned OFF.
Another possible cause for this error is when the file system being used on the device does not support larger capacity, or is incompatible with your computer.
Please reformat the device with a different file system type i.e. FAT, FAT32, NTFS. - How to turn my HS-395 MP3 Player ON/OFF? I don’t see a power button or switch on the player.
You need to press and hold the VOL + (Forward) button for a few second until you see a blue light.
In order to turn the player OFF, you can simply unplug the earphone or press and hold the VOL- (Backward) button for a few second (the volume will decrease to zero) until the light goes off.
NOTE : Some unit depending on where you purchased will power ON once you plug in the earphone. - My built-in speaker on my HS-T29-2GB video MP3 player is not working properly. How do I turn it on?
In order to use the built-in speaker, you will need to enable it. Press and hold the FF button when adjusting the volume. This will enable the speaker. Press and hold the RW button when adjusting the volume and this will disable it. To enter the “adjust volume” mode, simply press the volume button while listening to music and use the FF or RW buttons for adjusting the volume and enabling the built-in speaker. The built-in speaker can work with or without the earphones plugged in. Please note that after the unit has been powered off, you will need to re-enable the built-in speaker.
- My MP3 Player only plays 10 seconds of the song.
Your player was preset to play 10 seconds of each song. This type of playback is called “intro” and is under the Repeat option. You can go into Repeat option and change the type of playback to any of the following: normal, intro, random, shuffle, repeat all, and repeat folder which may available on your player.
The Repeat option is under the Play Menu. You can bring up the Play Menu when you press the M (Menu) button during music playback. - How do I set my MP3 Player to play the songs randomly (shuffle)?
You can go into Repeat option and change the type of playback to any of the following: normal, intro, random, shuffle, repeat all, and repeat folder which may available on your player.

The video conversion program installation files are placed in a separate folder on the CD. - I cannot get my HS-750 MP3 player to charge.
Please slide the master switch to the "on" position for the battery to charge. The player will then power on and start playing the music. You must press and hold the play/pause button to turn it off and then leave it plugged to your computer to charge. You will only see one light flashing during the battery is charging.
- I inserted the disc that came with the MP3 player into my computer, but nothing happens.
It might not launch automatically. You will need to open your CD drive from “My Computer” or “Computer” to browse the content.
The CD contains the device drivers for Windows 98SE systems only. If you have Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7 on your system, you do not need to install it. Your system should detect the MP3 player automatically and install the necessary drivers.

For some MP3/Video players, we have included video conversion software on the disc. These programs will ONLY work in Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7 (32bit) systems. It is not supported on a MAC OS.
You might need to copy the program folder to your desktop or somewhere on the local hard drive, and then double click the setup file within the folder to launch the converter application.

For instance, when you delete a file, it will be removed from the player. Hence, you can copy and paste or drag and drop files on here, and they will be transferred to the player. - How can I add lyric display on my player (with lyric display function)?
The player will display lyric from a LRC file which normally came with your MP3 song.
LRC is a computer file format that synchronizes song lyrics with an audio file, such as MP3. When an audio file is played with certain music players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the song lyrics are displayed. The lyrics file generally has the same name as the audio file. For example, song.mp3 and song.lrc. The file .lrc is simple like text but it is quite hard to make, this can be done well with several software. We cannot advice you as to where to download music. However if you need help with ripping audio from your own CDs then we can assist you. Note that the format of the audio file is important. We suggest you use either MP3 or WMA file formats.
- Do I need to update the firmware and how?
DO NOT ATTEMP TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE.
Please realize that we do not encourage anyone to perform firmware update on their device when it is functioning. This procedure involves risk of hardware failure and data loss when not carefully perform. Any changes incurred by the update are permanent. It is not possible to return to a previous version after the update.
If you’re having issue with the device, please contact us instead. - Why is my device displaying the error message “No Authority” or “Open Failed” when I try to open/play a file?
Your file is copy-protected or DRM-encrypted.
DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. It is a form of copy protection for digital media and subscription content purchased from online stores.
Files you downloaded from online stores (e.g., iTune, Napster, Chapters) are encrypted with DRM and will only play on a few players with DRM support. So you cannot directly play them on your Hipstreet Player.
You can either check your online stores if they have a non-DRM version of the file, so you can put them on your Hipstreet Player.

Find a store that offer DRM-Free digital media.
The above information applies to Music (or Audio Books), Videos, and E-Books. - I have iTunes on my Mac system. How do I add songs to this player?
1). First off all Hip Street players will only take MP3 formatted songs. If your song is aiff, wma, or ac encoded it will not play on your player.
2). You must convert all your songs into an MP3 format.
3). If all your songs are already in iTunes you can easily convert them by following these simple steps.
A). First go to your iTunes toolbar at the top of your screen and click on it. Go down to the preferences. A new box will open. Once in preferences make sure you are in the General settings tab. You will notice near the bottom of the General settings box there is a button called “import settings”. Click on it. A new box will appear called import settings. You will see a scroll down tab at the top of the screen it will have these options: AAC Encoder, Aiff Encoder, Apple Lossless Encoder, MP3 Encoder, and Wav Encoder. You want to choose MP3 Encoder and then click ok.
B). Now select the song you would like to convert, by just clicking on it once. Once the song is selected, go up to advanced at the top of your iTunes toolbar. And go down to “Create MP3 Version”
C). The song will then create the MP3 formatted version for your player. It usually is created below the song you have selected.
NOTE: You will not lose your original “unformatted” file.
D). Now plug your player into your Mac and drag and drop all your MP3 formatted songs onto the drive that comes up. It is probably called “No Name” until you change the name on it. Once the songs have been uploaded onto your drive you may then eject it. The player is now ready to be used. - A suspicious threat detected when I plugged the player to my PC. Is my PC infected now?
Your computer will not be infected, because you have not click on any files on the player.
Why does the antivirus program detect a suspicious threat on the player?
From time to time, the manufacture will load some files on the device for testing purposes and they may forget to remove them. Some antivirus programs are a bit sensitive and may think the files are a threat. As a precaution, we recommend the user to format the player before using it. This will ensure the player is completely emptied out. - How do I create a Playlist on the HS-3245 Touch Screen Player?
1. Select “Music” from the Main Menu screen.
2. On the song you wish to add to a playlist, select “Setting” to bring up the Music Option menu.
3. In the Music Option menu, select “Add List” to display all the preset Playlists.
4. There are 5 Playlists you can add your song to. Simply select one of them to add your song.

Please open My Computer (or Computer) and verify if the "Removable Disk" is present (and accessible). You will see it if your computer recognized the device.
If the "Removable Disk" is not available, you can try these suggestions:
1. Turn off your antivirus and then connect the device to your computer.
2. Run Windows Update on your PC to look for update or fix that may correct this issue.
3. Connect the device to another computer and see if the system will recognize it.

4. A message will display on your tablet with the pass code or PIN.
5. Type the PIN code using the Bluetooth keyboard and then press ENTER to complete the pairing process.

Currently, this model only supports WPA/WPA2 security encryption and not WEP. Please check your router settings and make sure that the encryption (security) type is WPA/WPA2. Once you have changed your router encryption, the tablet will easily connect to it. If you require assistance in changing your router security settings, please contact your router's manufacture.

Due to a recent System Update for the PS3 being broken, some customers may have experienced errors updating their systems using one of our PS3 Hard Drive Update Kits.
This ONLY affects customers that had installed the 3.56 system update PRIOR to upgrading their hard drives. When requested to run the update file again, they got an error.

My PS3 system does not recognize the new hard drive. I get a prompt on the screen to install the latest update when I switched the system on.
You can select the option to install update via removable disk. The system will run the update and let you format the drive accordingly.

Here are the steps:
1. Press and hold the Power (or Talk) button on the headset until the Blue light stay solid (or flashing Red and Blue).
2. Switch over to your phone, enter the Bluetooth menu and select the option to scan for new devices. If you can’t find this option, please refer to the user manual for your phone.
3. Your phone will pick up all the devices in range and display them on the screen.
4. Select the “Hipstreet” device to connect.
5. If you receive a prompt for the Pass Code (or Pass Key), enter “0000” (four zeros) and finish the pairing process. You only have to perform this paring process one time.
If you turn off the phone, or headset, you can re-pair them again simply by going to the Bluetooth menu and selecting the headset again from the list. It will reconnect without a pass code and you are up and running again. - How do I format the micro SD memory card in my hand scanner?

1. Insert the micro SD card into the scanner, then turn on the device.
2. Press the "format" button with a pin and an "F" will display on the screen.
3. Press the Power/Scan button to start formatting the card.
4. SD card indicator will blink until format is complete. - My projector clock is displaying time in the 24hr (military time) format.
Please note: this is a feature of the projector.
- My computer is not recognizing the device.
Please open My Computer (or Computer) and verify if the "Removable Disk" is present (and accessible). You will see it if your computer recognized the device.
If the "Removable Disk" is not available, you can try these suggestions:
1. Turn off your antivirus and then connect the device to your computer.
2. Run Windows Update on your PC to look for update or fix that may correct this issue.
3. Connect the device to another computer and see if the system will recognize it.
4. Reboot the computer with the device plugged in if necessary.
